Thanks to all of you who came out to our show Saturday and everyone involved; Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock and DJ Nnamdi Moweta host of Afrodicia on KPFK 90.7FM!
Saturday was supposed to be a big joyous celebration for us as we released our new album, but happiness was quickly replaced by sadness when we received the shocking news on Saturday afternoon, just hours before the show, of the loss of a friend and fellow musician. Only hours before on Friday evening, Hugo M Bernal-Estrada, was together with our band members Sandie Castaneda and Bryant Evangelista and also guitarist Henry Karis who covered for our member Nazo at this show. Hugo went to sleep Friday night and did not wake up Saturday. On behalf of all members of the Mili Mili World Music family; our deepest most sincere condolences and prayers to his family and his loved ones.

We are extremely excited, for our Album Release Celebration is coming up tomorrow! It’s going to be a packed house so be there early. Enjoy a spectacular flamenco show by the esteemed flamenco guitarist, Gabriel Osuna, who’s collaborations include artists like Angelita Agujetas, Jose Fernandez and Pedro Cuadra. Accompanying Osuna is the lovely flamenco dancer, Biseyda, a respected dance extraordinaire in the flamenco community around the world.
